iPhotoToGoogleEarth is a plugin for iPhoto that will export photos for viewing in Google Earth.

To make the most of iPhotoToGoogleEarth you'll need to have GPS infomation stored in the Exif tags. If you don't know what that means this plugin probably isn't for you. GPSPhotoLinker is recommended for GPS tagging.

Once you have photos tagged correctly, select your images and then Export.

It is free and will remain so, but if you like it and would like to help me hike across Japan, checkout my site and consider a donation. http://onemanwalking.com

You were just a few days early. The new version (2.0) does work with Leopard and iPhoto '08

Nice. I used it with GPSPhotolinker, a Canon SD700 and a Garmin 60Cx.

I haven't yet figured out how to place the location of the photos on Google Earth which also has the track of my bikeride or hike. I'll experiment some more.

Thanks to the author for providing this nice app.

I tried using this under Leopard and iPhoto '08, however it does not work. I received the following from the Developer:
"iPhoto changed a lot between versions and I haven't updated yet. I do intend to soon."

Having difficulty as images show up in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. After looking in the info of the images in Google earth it's apparent no GPS info comes through during the transfer. All GPS data is imbedded in the exif file before downloading to iPhoto. I have been shooting with a Nikon D2x with a Garmin Geko 301 attached through a Redhen adaptor for years and currently have images mapped on Google earth using Panoramio and Smugmug. This is the only software that refuses to identify the GPS data for me.

All images were downloaded to iPhoto without adjustment using Mac OS X 10.4.8 on an intel Xeon Mac Pro.

Version 1.03 has come out and it fixes some issues seen in Nikon's geotagging. MacUpdate should get the update soon in the mean time you can get it straight from my site. In the future you're better off emailing me with problems, I don't read this site very often so I've only just noticed your comment 2 months after it got posted

For a plug-in that required OS10.4 you'd think it'd work with intel-macs, but sadly it does not. Since you can run iPhoto under rosetta (or at least I can't) PPC plugins don't work.
