EasyEnvelopes where you can't select text without dragging the window, but introduces new ones. Now it won't remember my Font or Font size and defaults or reverts to Lucida Grande 12point every time I try to use or even open it.
Have mailed them about this and am awaiting a response.

"One thing you may want to try is to reset Amnesty's preferences for the EasyEnvelopes widgets:
1) Launch Amnesty.
2) Make sure the EasyEnvelopes widget is closed (appears in the menu with no checkmark or dash by its name).
3) Hold down the SHIFT and OPTION keys and (while keeping the keys down) select EasyEnvelopes from the Amnesty menu.
This will reset the widget preferences and EasyEnvelopes will appear centered on your main monitor."

There are a few widgets that I really like, however, so when I discovered Amnesty Singles, I had to try it out. I bought it within 10 minutes, after converting three widgets to run as applications.
Cut-and-paste between regular apps and widgets converted with Amnesty works without problems, which means I can easily use a couple of my favourite widgets - Case Converter and SnatchIt.
Highly recommended!

I haven't had a single problem. And the purchase process was painless. I definitely recommend this app.
The only way it could be easier is if they included a quick widget browser within the drop window so I don't have to dig through my system folder when I want to convert a widget. A nice little popup with widgets separated into system and user-installed sections.
Other than that, it's perfect.

The "dev mode" is simply a trick to move Dashboard's widgets onto the desktop, where they remain floating over all your windows. You still have to go to the Dashboard to open and close new widgets.
Amnesty is a full-featured Dashboard emulator that offers expanded widget features way beyond what is possible in Dashboard.
