SlapBook for VirtueDesktops allows you to switch between your virutal desktops by gently slapping your MacBook on either side, which visually makes the current desktop slide to the opposite side, changing to the next desktop.
What's New
Version 0.65:
Corrected a minor packaging mistake: Included debug instead of release build which led to run-time errors. Thanks Gritz!
Fine-tuned wrapper code to kill slapbook background process properly when main app is closed.
Requirements
PPC / Intel
Sudden Motion Sensor equipped Mac portable (check Hardware Overview in System Profiler)
I would be interested in a generic "slap" tool that could perform other actions. For example, slap the right side of the screen to launch some application, run a script, or whatever. This should be adaptable to that type of utility shouldn't it?
Very good utilisation of the SMS feature, full stars for all features, but be careful!
I installed this a while back on my Macbook Pro, all was fine for 4 days, then the mac wouldn't boot up.
Took it to the local APple Centre, who told me after running their test etc, that the Hard Drive heads had crashed into the discs. They asked, "Had the laptop been jolted or dropped recently?"
Obviously I didn't tell them I had been slapping my Macbook Pro around, and luckily I now have a brand new Macbook Pro, thanks to AppleCare.
Might have just been my machine that was faulty, but take heed!

Sorry to the developer if that wasn't made clear!
