A handy widget to look up schedules of all matches at the FIFA World Cup 2006 Germany. All times are localized by your timezone and also include narrowing your selection by teams or groups.

What's New

Version 1.2 fixes a bug with positive GMT timezones. Also added are reader-friendly timestamps (now reads Today and Tomorrow) and additionally does not remove the games currently being played.

Good, but unfortunately with version 1.2 gets the times wrong by an hour. If I set to GMT + 9 I get the England - Ecuador game at 1am but it should be midnight (the game is at 3PM GMT, 4PM BST)

I highly demand this developer pull his products from his website. He has so far successfully *used* DaringFireball to get some attention to this widget. If he feels any apology, the widget shoud be pulled.

These are the facts... The only reason this software has been downloaded at all is because it was first listed (publicly released) at apple.com. Shortly after it appeared on apple.com, it was listed here at MacUpdate. As far as I know, only apple.com and MacUpdate have this software listed at present.

The developer did use/borrow/steal daringfireball.net's design for his own blog, at first. He has since corrected that.

come on, guys: let's treat it, in the words of John Gruber, gentlemanly!

The dev did just some experiments with DF's css-file, and has since corrected and apologized.

I dont think anyone in Macworld can "rip off" John Gruber's DF-layout: that's how signature it is.
I can easily imagine how someone setting up a webpage lets it play, just for the fun one of it, DF for half a day.
So, please, no bad feelings.

Everything is good on our nerdy planet.
(and, no, I;m not affiliated with the dev, or somehting; although I'm an avid reader of DF and like it a lot.)

Except: I'm wondering if the widget couldnt draw the results of the games and display them?! Would be great.

There's an excuse posted at the website.

Cute widget. Would be nice if the dates were relative, such as today, tomorrow, thursday, etc. I've not much of a clue of what day it is this time of year.

Good widget, nicely designed.

Sadly, this guy's web site is a complete rip-off of John Gruber's popular Mac weblog, daringfireball.net's iconic design.

John's noticed this already. Apparently, this guy's taken Daring Fireball's CSS design wholesale, and simply removed John's own name and copyright notices.

Bad form. Very bad form.

Your're right!
The developers website is just like Daring Fireball.

Cool... he's altered it now. Good stuff.

Although the dev hasn't mentioned anything publicly, I hope there's been a nice 'my bad' email sent to John at DF!
