Syncopation provides a hands-free solution to keep your iTunes music collection synchronized across multiple computers running Mac OS X.

- Improves compatibility with iTunes Plus. Changes to a tracks encoding bit-rate will now be synchronized to other computers.
- Syncopation now preserves the ordering of playlists when transferring them from one computer to another.
- Fixes an issue in which track deletions may not be applied when they should be.
- Fixes a bug in which changes in capitalization of track attributes could cause the track to not be able to be located in the iTunes library.

My second issue is the interface itself. Simple is good, but TOO simple, to the point where you have too little control over what happens, is not good. There is too little the user can do to actually help the app make the correct choices. You can "transfer tracks by dragging between the track list and the source list." How about enabling the track list and source list to be viewed in SEPARATE windows so we can see them AT THE SAME TIME. Having only one view and having to go back and forth is just retarded.
This app has potential, but it still feels like a fresh off the shelf version 1.0 app. When it becomes smarter and more robust, then it'll be a great addition to my software library.

This is absolutely not the same as just sharing your library - you can add files and make changes in either library and they'll be reflected in the other.
I found it's worth a quick glance at the Help to get you going.

That said, Syncopation is an awesome stopgap. I haven't run into any of the issues other users have reported - either I am lucky or I actually followed the developer's setup documentation... :)

Not only keeps my powerbook up to date, but it also helps to keep all of my computers with iTunes in sync with the shared media library on my NAS.
Just have it on one of your Macs and share it instead.
