Doesn't seem to know what version it is. After install it appears to phone home and says current version is 2.2 and newer 2.2.2 is available. But, the installed version actually is 2.2.2 according the file naming and file info.

For the paranoid, there should be an option to stop it from doing a version check. Interestingly, LittleSnitch didn't report any outgoing connections.

Setup appears to go OK... but how do I configure this thing? How does WAN Check "notify when connection is active again"? System beep? Email? Pony Express? Would be nice to have a little more control over its functions.

New features in 2.2.2, email (when reconnected), logging, and the plain old alert message.

Hi, if you were the one who e-mailed me, is it still the same error? It doesn't appear to happen anymore, even from a fresh start. If WAN Check setup closes after you click the 'Save Settings' button, that is a good sign. That means the background program started.

All issues about the downloading problems, the 'damaged packages' and other problems have been fixed.

Due to various webserver problems, some WAN Check downloads ended up getting 'cached' files that included older, buggier versions that did not have the 'damaged package' bug fix. WAN Check will be hosted on MacUpdate until further notice.
