Free scripts that complete these tasks can be found in minutes using The Google. Reputable shareware developers distribute scripts like these for free, while charging for actual applications.

>> I'm not quite sure how the developer can justify charging $25 for essentially compiling a bunch of free scripts written by someone else (www.dougscripts.com). While I appreciate the time it takes to combine them into a single interface, I think the money should go to the person actually writing the scripts, and yes, I have donated money to Doug's scripts. The scripts work great in iTunes without having to open up a separate program (iTunify) every time you want to make a change. Some of the scripts I use most often are not even included in iTunify.

I just want to complement you on you handling of the review. To many a-time developers get in to a rather pointless discussion that only leeds destructive back and forth allegations. This, I think, is the way to do it. After all, it is a customer and the customer "is all ways right" and entitled to his/her opinion, which is not to be taken personally. Provided with relevant info and the additional info he/she should be content, do their evaluation and make their decision whether to accept what's offered or not. And this my friend you accomplished to a tee.
Well done!

I'm extremely picky about the title tracks in my playlists and like to add info about the CDs so iTunify is very useful to me. I recommend it.

Is there anything here I can't already do with the hundreds of free scripts from the crankin' scriptors at Doug's Applescripts for iTunes?
I know I was intimidated with setting up my first script, but the folks were sooo helpful, and now I use at least one of them almost every time I open iTunes.
-Google Art, Add 1/2 Star to Rating, Check Mark (inverts checks of selections), Replace Text, Append to Selected Tag... the list is long, and you can pick and choose to fit. Me? The last thing I do almost every night is Timer Fade Out, so iTunes slowly fades and puts my mac to sleep, just like me.
All that's free. 25$ seems a bit steep here.
