I think it will be better if it can take back more than one time.

a nice Othello Game, fast and smart!

This is a good version of Othello a.k.a Reversi, and I like the simple yet elegant OS X brushed metal interface. Only three minor things bugs me: 1) There is no option to turn off the sound (the "blip" when you move a piece gets annoying). 2) When "3D Animation Effects" are turned off in Preferences and the interface changes, the icons which shows the score remains the same when they ought to change accordingly. 3) The button which says "Tack Back" should of course say "Take Back"...

And the review: So first, I played a game and found this "new rule:" You can now only make moves that connect to another piece if yours at the end. Never heard of it. So I played and lost pretty badly. The next game I played, I pressed "Best Move" and took it for every single move I made AND LOST EVEN WORSE THAN THE FIRST TIME! impossible.

Crashed on me once, but overall good.

Definitely reminds me why I hate computer Othello... the computer trounces me and I've no board to flip over and no one to beat up... :p Ugh, me Tarzan!

great program, works well, nice features

It's a good implementation, and works flawlessly. However, aestetically I did prefer much more the previuos version, with solid colors for the pieces and cleaner background. Any way to change it back?

sometimes slow in master skill mode , but much more intellective than Widget Riversi

errm i guess its not that bad. A bit sluggish, and its much larger than it needs to be. I have to say that the widget game 'reversi' is much faster, and because its a widget it doesnt clog up your desktop so much. I'd go for reversi every time.
