Note: Alarm Clock is no longer developed/supported, but continues to work under OS X 10.9.x

Alarm Clock is a menu item alarm clock for setting either one-time alarms or repeating alarms. Then choose anything in the iTunes library to wake to: songs, playlists, even podcasts. The application takes care of the rest, even waking the computer from sleep if needed.

You can configure your snooze duration to the length you want. You can even increase/decrease your snooze time right from the alarm window. Plus, if you have an apple remote, you can even hit snooze without getting out of bed. And if waking up to more...

An excellent app, works even on 10.10!

For those having trouble with not being able to see their iTunes Library, quit Alarm Clock and type this into Terminal:

defaults write com.digitallity.alarmclock2 'XMLPath' '/Users/userfolder/Music/iTunes/iTunes Library.xml'

Change the path as necessary. Worked for me!

This app needs some love to make it work with iTunes again.
The playlists and such do not refresh anymore.

Pity that there has been no updates. Best alarm app in the world!

This application has been invaluable for me over the past year or two. It gets me up on time to get to class, the office or anywhere else that I need to be, and I love that it works so smoothly, even on newer versions of OS X.

A nice alarm clock app. The developer's website seems to have disappeared though, so I don't expect more updates.

I love this app, but I'm having trouble with using iTunes music. The app will only play the standard beep alarm rather than a song I've selected. Also, my playlists won't update so I cannot choose one of them. This was by far the best alarm clock for mac. If the developer was still around, I would donate.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same problem on my iMac. I select a song but when the alarm goes off it's just the beep, not the song. Did you ever get it fixed?

I loved this app until it stopped allowing me to select a tune from my library to be woken up by. (The window where the songs use to be is empty). I tried reinstalling and that didn't work. I couldn't find any preferences for it to trash.

It is now working. I fixed it some how. That being said I give it a 5 star rating.

How'd you fix it? I've got a similar problem.

Type this into Terminal:

defaults write com.digitallity.alarmclock2 'XMLPath' '/Users/youruserfolder/Music/iTunes/iTunes Library.xml'

(change as necessary) and it should work! That's how I got it to work.

I've been using this for years. You can't get much better than this for donation-ware. It's better than basic, and very convenient. It also hasn't been updated in a very long time, probably because it works just fine even in Lion. It simply does everything I need simply.

Why can't I add music to the playlist or select a source?

Ah I works well now. I now give it 4.5*
Would be nice to drag and drop tracks and search for them without using itunes but doesn't matter.
