It made the creation of a sitemap a total breeze.
I am new to this product but am impressed with the ease of use and simple integration with both my host site and search engines.

It has paid for itself over and over again as a quick and convenient way to create, update and submit sitemaps. This should be done every time updates to a website are published and I know there are occasions when I would have skipped this step if it wasn't for the automator.
The ability to trace broken links has been on my wish list for some time. I've had a couple of messed up links on a large site that have been bugging me for months. With this latest update I tracked them down in a matter of minutes.

It downloads a disk image that is downloaded to the same folder as your Sitemap Automator application. The disk image is mounted and should appear on your screen automatically so all you have to do is drag it to your Applications folder, replacing the current version you have.
Please make sure the current version you have installed is not running when you install the new version.

1. FTP settings ARE remembered now for a website as stated. It was just not solved the way I expected it; so I did not discover it until now.
2. Developer says that Website Listing (the Menu) will be revised in a future update. Let's hope that this day will be soon..
Since I need to give a new rating, I update my rating to a 4.

But if you have 50+ Websites to maintain, to give an example, the software makes live complicated.
A. It is not possible to edit the entries in the "Websites" menu, so this can be a wild mix of "http://www.domain.com", "www.domain.com", "domain.com". That confuses the sorting and makes finding a domain difficult. Why not making an editable field so that one can streamline those entries later on wighout having to delete a site and start all over again.
B. The FTP-Info is not linked to the domain. So after you successfully found and updated the sitemap for a domain you have to search an independet FTP-list that contains EVERY entry ever stored to find the right FTP-account for the domain in question.
2 Stars for not keeping the promise to fix that.
B. This feature has been available since version 2.0 released in January.

Send your site over to me at http://www.ragesw.com/support/ and I will get this fixed for you ASAP.
It is probably due urls being redirected improperly or in a way that RAGE Google Sitemap Automator does not understand.

Second serious error, you create a few obvious filters, crawl the site and go get some coffee -- take a lunch if you maintain a huge site like I do. Then get back and smack your forehead at a missed filter. No problem, you think, I'll just add it and -- Oh ... you realise as the screen pops back to step two that you'll now have to re-crawl the whole site just to add a filter. Never mind that a filter is something that programmatically is extremely simple to run against an extant list! We have to crawl again -- and I hope you did not just hit "add another filter" in a reactionary manner without taking exhaustive notes on every single idea for a filter that you might have had, because you list of results is Gone.
That pretty much sums it up. I guess if you have a 70 page web site where 95% is just static literature, this tool might be Really Awesome, but for anyone that has to maintain a constantly shifting, 10,000+ page website. Ha.
Go find another tool. You should not be charging $30. Period.

As for editing existing filters without having to re-scan, this is a feature we would like to add to a future release soon.
