Font Renamer is a simple utility that allows you to rename fonts with their original name. You do this by dropping a folder with fonts on either the application's icon or on the little well inside the window. It's free but donations are gratefully accepted.

Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.3 or later.

What a great little application! I does only one thing and this one very simple and fast: renaming fonts (as the name says).

The steps to preform a renaming are very simple:

1.) You open the app, a little window shows up
2.) you drag the folder (that has the fonts inside, that you want to be renamed) inside this window
3.) the app will rename it automatically

It is very fast and very simple to use!
Ah, and I did almost forget to mention: it is Universal Binary.

Great! Thanks to the developper. I don't know why sometimes fonts got 2 different names, the real and the --- ones. Anyway, this application is most welcome and works fine (only if fonts are inside folder - why?) with a very fast process and no crash like it said before. - G3 with Mac OS X.3.9

this app simply doesn't work. it quit on me after several attempts at using the program. if at first you don't succeed, try try again!

hmmm, tried several folders (copies of course!) and this app didn't seem to do anything, even though i'd purposely renamed some of the files within ... each time the progress bar got to the end of the line and stopped there, leaving me to wonder if the app has crashed (as the dev suggests it may at times) or if that is what it looks like when it's 'done' ... interesting idea, but may need a bit more work ...
