It works on Snow Leopard, is on the Mac App Store, it's $10 though, but for me worth it. Or try the free version they have on their site, its not quite "right click easy", but close.
Apart from this: I am very happy with it and use it regularly;-)

You can always use 1.8(no icon) though. It's the most stable one and it works with all OS X

I#m shure you don't work often with txt or html files...
Well i hate, if i have to find the folder in my App where to save the file....with nufile you make a file direct in the right directory...
think about
As you may know, when you create a new file in adobe photoshop or indesign, you got a huge multi-option windows. It's great to be able to customize it. Yet, the problem is 80% of the time we choose the same option.
So, why not, instead of going through those dialog all the time and choosing the same 20 options, just right click on where you want to save it and select the template?

1.8, as you stated, works fine by the way.
