I am so happy I came across Mr Drum ... It is fantastic! ... And free! ...
I/ve tried numerous other ones but they are all either way too complicated or extremely expensive
Mr Drum has a simple interface and kids can start making music right away ....
Thank you so much for this wonderful app ...
but very easy to use, to compose pattern before introduce them in another soft.
Just for making noises.
Guess a musician could make a better use of it.
-unusual behaviour of buttons: i created these new buttons for mrdrum; i like them, but i think i could correct the "out then in" issue you noticed
-numeric instrument field: that is the less memory wasting way, but i think i can add a contextual menu for each field, with instrument names instead of numbers, good.
-numeric notes on bass track: of course, they will be changed to octave and notes

User Interface: instrument selection is by number and not by instrument name. I don't know about you but I don't memorize 128 drums by their number.
The buttons are not real Macintosh buttons. You have to move the mouse pointer off the button and then back onto the button before you click the mouse the second time. One may want to do this to toggle an instrument off and on.
The "Bass" note selection process is pretty clumsy because you have to move this "icon of a keyboard" onto the beat that you want to play the note then select the key on the keyboard for the desired note. MrDrum then puts the number of the note on the beat - back to numbers again, and no way to change it. Why not just put an octave and note ?
The number of beats is also very limited so you can't do any serious work.
It's a toy and not a very good one at that.
