Nintendo 64 emulator for OS X that is a universal build that is based on Adam Green's work.
This build wasn't supposed to be posted. Shame on MacUpdate and VersionTracker to accept anonymous requests.
People say this is the best N64 emulator on the Mac -- huh? Mupen only seems to support about 5 games, and on my 1 ghz G4 they all run quite slowly, with choppy (or no) sound. Not to mention, there's no controller support for the app. Prefs/customization is very limited, and I can report some crashes too. The developer has stated in forums that he doesn't really support the Mac port anyway.
I don't want to give the app 1 star -- I want to see a badass N64 emulator!
(Sixtyforce, on the other hand, boasts a nice long list of working games, many of which run at normal, playable speed. It has controller support and more customizable prefs to really maximize performance. Still, even it has a long way to go... but that app's a year old! Come on now, Mupen!)
Why is N64 emulation so damn primitive on the Mac? The 64's nearly 10 years old! Who's gonna come in and make miracles? Every other imagineable pre-64 game system has a huge array of stunningly well-made emulators to choose from (bannister.org is on fire). I'd gladly pay the shareware fee for a solid Mac N64 emulator.
We're all dying for one!
crash, crash crash !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome.. Finally in sync with windows version. Great job porting app. Consider a donate link for your hard work.
I was not the one to submit mupen64 to this site. It was a semi-public developer preview on the emuscene forums. This was posted here without my permission.
