Betrayal at Krondor is a classic DOS adventure game from Dynamix software. It was released as freeware many years ago, and is here packaged to run transparently as a Mac OS X application via a built-in DOS emulator.
Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.3 or later.

Played this when it first came out on the PC way back when. It was one of my first RPG's to be had on a PC.
I noticed the comment that it runs a bit slow on a 1.2Ghz system. I am running this here on my PB 1Ghz Titanium. I will admit the sound is a bit choppy, but otherwise the performance is not all that different from the original ver. * Tested it will all options set to the maximum settings". For me at least.
Thanks for making it easy to play and relive the memmory of this game.

Awesome. I have been fighting to get BaK working on various incarnations of VPC virtual machines and a real Windows XP box (a surprisingly difficult matter, due to the antiquated BaK memory management mechanism).
Unfortunately, DOSBox + BaK runs terribly on my 1.25 Ghz Powerbook. Most notably, music skips wildly. Surprising, considering that even given emulation performance penalities, a G4 in the gigahertz range should have been able to handle a game designed for a Pentium 166 Mhz. Perhaps there's something else going on besides raw processor speed.
Wish I had a nice quad-core G5 to test this out on.

Try tweaking the DOSBox settings to increase CPU cycles and frameskippping in the emulator. See this page: http://sveinbjorn.sytes.net/radnorhelp
