Unfortunately, I'm not hearing anything when I pick up the line. I think this is a system-wide problem, as I don't hear anything when I dial-up using Internet Connect, even though I've set Sound to On in the Modem pane of Network Preferences.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I discovered that if I have my iMic plugged into the USB port, my sound settings didnt' matter: sound went to these honking headphones connected to the iMic. Macs have always been wonky about sound output in my experience.
In this latest version, check the system log to see if Hold On is successfully initting, picking up, and hanging up the modem. if it is it is definitely a sound output conflict.
