I am very impressed, it's very good, very easy to work with and also very fast, it has plenty of space to grow, but it's one of the best database software for mac os! It really is nice to work with, it so easy and fast that you are inserting data in no time! The last update is old but it's truth that is working well!

I'm a long time user of Filemaker Pro (last version installed was 6.0v4) and a two time buyer of Bento. Version 1, and yes, I'm one of those folks that got burnt on the version 2 upgrade! Never again!

Took me a while to find iList. Downloaded the trial, installed it, and have to say, it more than lives up to my expectations. Purchased the full version that very day.

This is a true Mac OS database! Not just a list maker like Bento. If you have any experience with databases you'll fly through setting yours up with iList.

If you're in need of a straight forward, easy to understand, Mac OS user interface database, you owe it to yourself to try iList. I give it the highest recommendation.

Finally a flat-field verging-on-relational database that isn't overkill like Filemaker for most applications. But for purposes of convenience of record layout design, with easily assembled and unlimited layout/sort/search criteria combinations, nothing beats AppleWorks database. It is a GEM, even compared to Filemaker, for easy-yet-sophisticated flat-field database design and management. Apple has neglected AW6's development but so far has not abandoned it. This version of iList Data is still comparatively awkward and in some ways a throwback to the days of dBase III and IV. If you don't need relational capability, stay with AppleWorks while it still lives.

I've tried many database applications over the years, but this is the first that really works the way that I want; it's clean and intuitive ui make it a pleasure to work with. It's not a "design" type layout program like FileMaker, but is a more functional database with just enough extras like making a photo catalog with slide shows, etc. The easy-to-set-up calculator functions are a great asset, too; you can make quick and easy forms for business, taxes, etc. that seem to work flawlessly. Also, when I had a display problem, the developer was quick and responsive in helping me troubleshoot the problem. This is easily the ideal database app that I've been looking for, something that works well and is highly useful/flexible, but easy to use for someone who doesn't want to spend their life trying to set it up and learn to use it.
