A great piece of software. Very simple, very easy to learn and use, lots of clever add-ons like automatically emailing the recording you just made to any email address or uploading it to a website. Attractive design too. A great example of good software design.
Hello. Can you suggest freeware for making an mp3 or mp4 file from the internal mic? I have some audio cassettes I'd like to burn onto CD's. I thought I'd play them by the internal mike of my G5 (pre-intel) 10.4 OS.
Well, to the "You must be kidding, it's, like 40$" below:
I make music. I use the Ableton Live 8 Suite, and other music software.
Sure, it might seem as a stupid investment, as you say, there are free apps that does this, "kinda".
You could use the new Quicktimeplayer in SnowLeopard to record both audio and video.
Still, I think this little application gives me more. I often use it as a "scratchpad" when soloing in som guitar or just to record some lyrics.
And, basically thats all this app really does, but it also lets you specify a higher bitrate, and record straight to raw .waw, and other formats, with ease.
So, it is quick, works very well, and I would say it's worth $20.
That's also what I paid, at a holiday sale...

Certainly overpriced by a factor of 8 — since it is extremely buggy.
