Dockyard allows you to have multiple docks and switch between them. You can even switch Dashboard configurations along with your dock. But Dockyard Manager is a fully-fledged dock editor. Not only can you create, rename, reorder, and delete docks, but you can also add, remove, and reorder the individual items in them. Finally, you can change docks straight from the current Dock by accessing Dockyard Manager's dock menu.
Great app but dead.

I am retiring this very very useful app.
Because of the years of delays I will not be purchasing other apps from this developer!
Giving Docks a try for now.
Unfortunatly editing a "dockyard" is non-sense. The remove menu item doesn't do anything. Dragging items to the side (like dock or finder windows does not remove an item. The delete key is useless and cmd+delete brings up the switcher.
It sure is easy to create a bunch of duplicates of the same dock, which then serve no purpose.
In the dockyard multiple apps and folders show up as question marks... why? they are are and have been there.
This app needs to bug tested and the editing feature overhauled.
I wish I could use this so I could try it out. It seems like a good way to unclutter the dock for specific tasks. (Virtual Docks, ala virtual desktops).

Greetings.
I have been looking for a utility that will allow me to disable(remove) the dock without killing or disabling expose & cmd-tab functionality. Can this program acheive that effect?
I can't stand using the dock. Once you've experienced the latest offerings of Gnome project or KDE, the OS X dock seems nothing more than a sad excuse for a window manager.
No offense to the Dockyard Manager btw. At least the developer is trying extend the functionality and make something useful out of the dock.
Thank you.

Great piece of software!
Works very well... only (at this time) sometimes a little buggy;
-When I change dock, sometimes it won't change right away, although it displays so. So I have to select the previous dock configuration again, and after that try again.
-The dock often changes really slow, visually. Then I have to wait about 5 or 6 seconds before the dock appears. (Even on a iMac G5 with 10.4.2/1.8GHz/1GBram!) Maybe that's being caused by the dock configuration ('hiding' being turned on p.e.), or by dashboard being changed too, what is - of course - a great feature.
Anyway: 'Dockyard Manager' is a great new application!
