Jahshaka is the world's first OpenSource Realtime Editing and Effects System. Taking advantage of the power of OpenGL and OpenML to give its users exceptional levels of performance. We currently support OS X, Linux, Irix, and Windows... and Solaris is on the way! Jahshaka is licensed to the public under the GNU GPL agreement.

Jahshaka is a state of the art, hardware-accelerated editing and effects system. By using the full power of OpenGL to render effects, our goal is to create a Really Real Time system (RRT). Most commercial systems on the market are a far cry from being RRT and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. more...

Very hard to use, and good luck uninstalling it !!!
Uninstall script will only uninstall main binaries, libs and extra stuff needs to be uninstalled manually !!!

I have the same problem. After running jahshaka-2.0-with-dependencies.mpkg, all I get in the Applications folder is one alias (shortcut?) to Jahshaka, and one to Jahplayer, both saying the original is located at in MacintoshHD:usr:bin:jahshaka/player. But trying to open either does nothing at all.

Yes, it's intriguing wonderful FREE! and polysaturated. But if you're expecting to download it and actually do work with it... think again.
Unless you're a stone pro, one of those de mi-Gods that can glance at an interface and intuit how to make its features work, you're toast. It has ZERO docs, and [last count] 2 basic tutorials.
Also, it hard crashes regularly.
IMHO they're too commited to developing versions for every OS on the planet to pay attention to that boring documentation stuff. Sigh. Still, promising.
