The Iridium theme whitens metal and applies a unified toolbar look to all applications including Cocoa, Carbon, X11, and qt/Mac applications.
Iridium's motto is "One look to unite them all and in the lightness bind them!" This has meant that a few features of Iridium have had to be changed in order to fix bugs. And Iridium now has its own installer, no other software required.
Quit all other programs before installing. You will need to logout or reboot for all changes to take effect.
What's New
Version 1.9.F:
Iridium now installs on all PPC and Intel Macintoshes.
Version 1.9.F is my final solo release of Iridium. Within the week, future development of Iridium will be opened to the community at MacOpenSource. Contact me there if you would like to help.
If you already have Iridium installed you DO NOT need this update.

Excellent piece of theme development! Works nicely with OSX 10.4.10, with no hassles! Very well done; a great replacement for Apple's Aqua default theme! Thanks!
-Add a better bar slide separator in small window mode (take from original Aqua 10.4, it better than a grey bar…)
-Why not add prefs:
Bar slide lighter/Darker
Boutons Color Themes for all Apps
Little cleaner than UNO on result, but very ugly install…
Iridium v2.0 will be released as part of an opensource theme-ing project.
Iridium 1.9F still works fine on 10.4.8, so no further updates are needed. If you want to learn more about what I am doing, head on over to my site (www.sagefire.org) and see.
I was very worried about themes messing up my system (from previous experience with ShapeShifter and such)..
But this.. this works great!
no need for ShapeS n all that, very clean
and of course very beautiful!..
Thanks..the only (tiny) bug i noticed might be the bottom corners of Quicktime windows which looks a bit weird, but acceptable
Thank you very much.....
For me this is the best Theme & Apple should make it possible to switch Themes in Mac OS X 10.5.
Thank you for Iridium Hydroxide !!!!! and plz keep it free. For me the best looking Theme out there and much nicer than Brushed Metal.
Works great on PowerPC & Intel Mac#s

I don't know, but it also seems somehow faster.
I love the new Safari, it looks much more positive now, and I can finally read the tab titles!!
The Finder windows, oh my god, I instantly fell in love, this looks like the Rhapsody theme!! I love it!!
Thank you so much, please keep up the work, maybe there are other possible themes!!
One little glitch though, on the small windows like e. g. "Copy" or "Empty Trash" the line between the title bar and the window content is missing.

I've been using UNO for quite some time that I forgot how nice Iridium is.
Keep up with the awesome work. Thanks a lot!
