This is a nice widget for keeping track of simple expenses. Some features that I'd like to see:
Autosort by date or price
Manual sorting by drag-and-drop. There's pretty much no way to reorder things right now
Copy-and-paste. I'd like to be able to output a list of expenses as a simple ASCII table that I could paste into a text document or something
Also, a number of strings in the Japanese localization are wrong. Contact amake at mac dot com for corrections if you're interested (your website is currently down, so I can't contact you)

It's a cool widget, but it needs persistence. If you add items, then close the widget, the data is lost. Please consider permanent storage.

Thank you for your comment, all of the inputs will be saved automatically when you keep the Widget open in the Dashboard; therefore, you will not lose you inputs after restart or switch to different user. But we will put your suggestion in our consideration.

Oftentimes when I'm entering text into the fields I hit tab (it's a habit) to get to the next field. And then it crashes. Every single time. Really annoying because I've done it a lot on accident.

Good idea, but switching months doesn't really work (I still get dates and expenses I entered in a previous month)

I am sorry, currently the switch month function, only allow you to change the month displayed on the title, which will be editable in next version.
But for sure multi-listing function will be considered in the future version.
Thank You,

Maybe the ability to put currency symbol like in System Preferences (135 € instead of €135) for the next release?
