There are tons of controllers for iTunes out there, some are useless, some are great, but illis brings a new aspect to the market. Style. illis also supports Growl notification. This means that if iTunes track changes, illis will notify you via Growl. But don't worry, you can turn Growl notification off. And if you have guests over, you can now hide your computer from they're wondering eyes by using the fullscreen "Curtain" feature.

For those of you wondering what happened to this application, I am sorry to say that it has been discontinued.

I became too busy to continue development of Ivy and so therefore am pronouncing it, as much as I dislike the term, VaporWare.

However, for those looking for the same functionality, please check out Artwork (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/26056/artwork). It's got most of the functionality of Ivy, with no bugs. It's also being developed by a dear friend of mine, so go and show him support on his first public app.

The app is a nice idea in that it is smaller than iTunes in its full-blown window, but not when it is in mini mode. The problem is that the icon is misleading. If the program looked like the icon, small and compact, and also has some preferences the app would be great.

I'm sorry, but this app just leaves me shaking my head.
 
 First off, why is it in the Dashboard category? It isn't a widget, it's a full blown application.

Second, there's nothing "mini" about it, it's larger than the iTunes remote you get when double clicking the yellow minimize button in the iTunes window.

No preferences, boring GUI... sorry, no point to this app at all.

I must admit that when I read the description of the miniTunes Widget 1.0 I wasn't expecting much. Imagine my surprise when I noticed how cool it was.
