does only work with older iPod such as the iPod mini.
on newer ones there is a "volume limit" preference in the settings menu (on the iDevice itself).

Does goPod also work with the latest firmware which came with iPod-Softwareupdater on 1/10/2006 ?

I've used it for my 20Gb iPod since the first release and I never had any problems. It worked fine and the sound quality increased.
It's not just for putting your iPod volume at max as someone told. The main purpose is to keep your iPod volume level smaller and keep crisp and powerful sound.
Hope they release a new version which supports the nano.
A perfect reason for using this is so that you can hear the quieter tracks in a mix, like the Adagio from Bruch's Violin Concerto in G minor or Planet Caravan from Black Sabbath's Paranoid.

Worked swiftly and perfectly on my iPod Photo 30gb.
Thank you for this. Merci beaucoup, mes amis!
