Immediate Answer lets you choose your search area from a pop-up menu. Type in your question, select web page, image, news or movie from the pop-up menu, hit return and get an answer from Jeeves. A special thanks to e-dot studios for letting me use a part of their Google Widget v 1.1 script.
There's a lot of widgets out there, and a lot to choose from. Personally, I like ask.com, I have a certain fondness for Jeeves - maybe because he was there when I first started seeking answers online and offered an "easy" user interface (ok so Jeeves also led me to horizons I was not seeking for, but thanks to him I learned a lot of things I would probably ignored otherwise).
I like the graphics of this Immediate Answer - finally something that isn't a box or simply rectangular -- it is Immediately visible on my dashboard and Immediately gives me answers (pardon the puns, I can' resist!!)
Oh, I took the time to go and see your other widgets - wow what a selection and what a breadth of information. Do you ever stop? lol. As a graphic designer, let me just say that your NASA widget is well-crafted front and back. A lot of widget developers don't take the time to polish the flipside but you really did- the graphics are superb.. which explains why it is the featured widget on graphicreporter.com

I like this shortcut a lot - thanks for making it more stable. Glad for an alternative to Google - and interweb offers too many choices for me :)
NB - I don't know what "spanking the penguin" means but why would I want search engine results shrunk to fit a window?

Kudos for the revised graphics.
I haven't seen ANY SEO widgets that post search page results in the widget itself.. just like I haven't seen a safari widget or an explorer widget!

This program still doesn't show the results in its window. It's like spanking a penguin.

Dear Mr. Despallieres,
You do well to honor Ask Jeeves with very elegant widget, works very well. Ask Jeeves was first to do search with question - important to remember. I recommend Immediate Answer to many people here.
Thank you for your work.

I like ask jeeves (the whole question approach) and what frequently is it's more intuitive search results; therefore I find this widget very useful / elegant - a great feature is being able to specify the category of my search. It's a great shortcut just like the Google widget- it really simplifies my life which IMO is the whole point of dashboard.
I don't get the previous reviews since a/ I don't see the point in shrinking search engine results into dashboard and b/why would I or any other user want it to do so and c/I just really don't see the point!

Wait, it that good or bad?

Looks nice but it just loads a webpage...would be much better if it loaded your answer up in dashboard. Besides....google is the best, askjeeves is not worth the effort!

I don't understand these widgets that pull up a web page. That defeats the whole purpose of Dashboard.

Not to mention that Ask Jeeves sucks.
