I bought the first version of this and I got 1 site out of it before I upgraded to photoshop CS2. Your Site grinder app is hooked to your serial so upgrade and you are screwed. Bye bye money. There upgrades were expensive and minor. Oh gosh, need to put a movie on your site? We want to charge you hundreds more for that rather than fix the version you had. There is a hole in my pocket where my money used to be. Dont be a sucker like I was.

All versions of SiteGrinder 3 support placing video and movies on a site with no upgrade required.
Are referring to doing so remotely, which would require the Control add-on. A movie can be added to a site using the Local Only CM. Use an -xmedia layer.

Or, from your CS2 comment, is it possible you are talking about SiteGrinder 1, released seven years ago in 2005?

>> Your Site grinder app is hooked to your serial so upgrade and you are screwed

The activation is tied to the PS serial, but it is moveable free of charge and always has been. In later versions of SiteGrinder it is moveable in-app. In earlier versions we had a big button on our home page that you could fill out to move your activation to a different Photoshop. If you want to move your SiteGrinder 1 activation or upgrade to SiteGrinder 3, just email us at sales@medialab.com

I think this plugin would have been more appropriate as an Adobe Illustrator plugin. Have you ever used a lot of text in Photoshop? It's dog slow and I'm on an 8 core MacPro.

SiteGrinder is a fairly good product but I am very sorry for buying it. Their licensing scheme makes you contract them if you upgrade Photoshop to another version or use another photoshop if you machine crashes (as mine did). I was down for a couple weeks without being about to update my site at a critical time.

SiteGrinder gets a huge Thumbs DOWN.

Well, their homepage certainly could be improved, but I think the SiteGrinder pages are pretty good...and they claim they were created with SiteGrinder.

touché - the site itself, which is claimed to be made with sitegrinder is crappy, so it's not promising.

I agree especially since their demo video mentions valid (x)html, html5, and CSS. Their website of course does not validate. It's also incredibly slow to launch this "plugin" and it does a lot of network communication (lots of little snitch or hands off warnings). I'm staying away from this thing.

@Stephenej

SiteGrinder runs a web server to serve the pages it builds as well as its UI. That's why there is the network traffic you see. SG does not "snitch" and it is uncool of you to attempt to imply that it might be spyware without evidence.

Besides opening it have you tried it? It comes with a several sample and starter files you can build. We have thousands of users making websites with it. Take a look at the example sites to see what people are doing and ask questions on our forums or from our support team.

I am unable to download this version from the developer's website. The link just stalls and never initiates the download.
