Widget Creator is freeware for beginners and advanced widget designers. It is here to help you in designing your widgets. It includes:

Aqua effects templates, including the "famous" Apple reflection Aqua effect
A "skeleton" widget to help you get started - simply add your script, and adapt your css files.
The Apple script that "flips" your widget.
Scripts and graphics if you want your widget to have a personalized scroll bar
A "virgin" dashboard icon that you can personalize
And the original Apple backside image and the tips to recreate it.

Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Both download and site are down. No access to this.

As a widget developer with several widgets under my belt, I have to say I have used Widget Creator not to make widgets, but to make my widgets better. Specifically, the graphic quality of my widgets has improved significantly since I found this little bundle. Thanks, Jeremy, for releasing it!

Just because you don't need or want any help in making a widget, it doesn't mean no one else does. You've done this community a disservice by giving this product a low rating just because you don't use it. It does what it is intended for, and does it well. It has everything you need to make a widget even if you don't know how (5 stars for Features), it's easy to use (5 stars for ease of use), it's free (5 stars for value), and stable (5 stars for stability).

Please, people, don't give a program a bad rating just because you don't need it.

this is stupid. its just a widget that the releaser expects you to open and edit the internal files manually. why don't you just make a widget from scratch according to the insturctions on apple's site? it would be far quicker and you'd make a better widget.

This previous review is really mean and inappropriate...
I've used widget creator for my first widget and it has been a great help for me, I found the templates really useful since I'm not really good with graphics!
Also the fact to have a widget skeleton make it much more fun to learn, when written instruction can be boring and confusing, especially for beginners.

What a moron the person is who made this comment. Why are people in life so often disconnected? It's not a matter of being dispassionate but rather one of trouble being connected as a fellow human. Does that make you an alien? Hmmm. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Seems to be all too common an issue these days. THE issue?

How come it only comes with graphics...when i unzip and open the folder only readmes and psd's are there...whats up?
