Mac Restart X can restart a Mac on a regular basis or one time only at a specific date and time or at launch using it via Apple iCal or via a keyword inside a web page.
Mac Restart X is the ideal solution to restart a unattended Mac with maximum flexibility in choosing when to do it.
Easy to use and powerful
Doesn't slow down your Mac when in background
Uses native Mac OS X Date Time Calendar control
Warns you before restart showing a progress bar or jumping from the dock.
'Scheduled Restart', 'On Date Restart' , 'At Launch
I don't get it: If I go into System Preferences and Energy settings I find 'Schedule' and it does the same. Always has been a part of SOS X. For free...!
I've been using this for a few years on a PowerBook G4 server that I have on 24/7. It does just what it says, in my case restarts at 6.00 am and all the apps open up via Apple Preferences in the Login Items. About the cost. My time is worth more that the asking price so its worth it to me. Hope this helps.
And the reason I'd want to pay $10 for this when I can do the same thing for free with a cron job (yes, with a free GUI, too, CronniX) would be what, exactly?

Another great example of shareware authors gone wild!

iBezz sets start up, shut down, restart, sleep and wake. Plus will run scripts or apps at start up.
So, for example, while you are on vacation your Mac can restart, grab your mail and shutdown everyday.
