Spotlight is nice to search files using keywords, but it doesn't let you associate arbitrary keywords to your files.
With Branding Iron, you will mark your files and make them easily searchable.
Imagine you want to label a dozen of files as belonging to "Project Brinkman".
The traditional way to organize them is to put them in a folder called Project Brinkman
But now, with Branding Iron and Spotlight, you can just mark them, store them in whatever folder or hard disk (for example, by category : Accounting, Budget, Engineering, Artworks, ...) and then create a Smart Folder called "Project
How is this different or better than simply choosing "Get Info" and placing keywords in the "Spotlight Comments" field? (I'm not asking that sarcastically.)
What has happened to Branding Iron? I downloaded version 1.0b from your web site and when I opened it I got the message that it has been expired and I need to buy it. Pressing Visit Website button Safari opens your home page, but there is no link to any web store to buy it... And actually this is the first time I download and try this software. Why am I asked to buy it immediately without testing it first?
