Version 8.1.2:
- Offers new speed and an up to date, modern "aerodynamic chassis" that runs only on the powerful Intel engined Macs.
- Maximizes the Intel engined Mac. It maximizes the speed of the Intel Mac main processor engines that you chose and the "turbo charging" graphics processors that you chose. The experience will be more of a "sit back tightly" in your seat and an eye popping experience of speed and comfort. It will be like when you first hit the accelerator pedal of your new powerful V8 vehicle and said "Wow!" or "Right ON!". You will express the same sentiment when you fire up PowerCADD V8 for the first time. However, you will NOT have to learn how to drive all over again. The real "feel" will come when you realize the details of the improvements and the elegance with which the details have been crafted. It will be much like when you get to run your hand over the well crafted "new leather" and feel the "double stitching".

Is that the developer doing retention of information or MU being late?
Apart from this slight delay, Version 8 is native which adds a lot of speed and there are a few gadgets like transparencies and shadows (improved over V7) allowing a nice trendy touch to your drawings. Another considerable improvement is the DXF/DWG import plugin. Opening PC CAD drawings goes like a breeze! Among other various plugins, Wild Tools 9 is unavoidable for serious drawing.
One of the oldest CAD software for the mac at his best !

Even on the website there is no comment of the new features of this release ....

It runs at about the same speed as PowerCadd 6.
There is a bug with the transparency feature that occurs when you try to duplicate an object with transparent attributes. but as soon as this is fixed, or I otherwise find out what I did wrong, I'll upgrade.
I really like this program.

It's a great application, that has been around forever, from a company that knows its stuff in this arena.
