In terms of ease of use, it would also be handy if you added a "Look Up in Interpres" service, just to save one more step. Also, rather than having separate keyboard shortcuts for switching to the Latin and English tabs, why not just use a common one such as command-D or command-L?
Also, a nicer icon would be appreciated (although I've changed it myself, so this obviously isn't a huge issue).
First of all, I think you may be correct in your assessment of the font. The font chosen is actually the system default when a fixed-width font is needed (which is the case here, because of the command-line formatting employed by WORDS). That being said, it would not be difficult to allow the user to change this font more easily, and I will do so for the next release.
As for the services, I've never actually used one myself, much less attempted to program one. However, it does seem it would be useful for some, especially if a global keyboard shortcut could be allocated. I would especially like to be able to convert at least the definitions portion of WORDS to be able to work with the built-in contextual dictionary, though Apple does not seem to have made this possible (yet).
You're also probably right about the keyboard shortcut, though originally the request came in the form of one for each language. I will investigate this further.
Finally, I've been complimented by many on the icon (who doesn't love Cicero?). I'm interested, though, in seeing with which icon you've replaced the current one.

-If you could make it so that any typing in the Interpres window goes automatically to the "look up" field (ideally, any typing when the focus is off the "look up" field would replace any pre-existing text)
This would make it easier to find definitions, copy-and-paste them elsewhere, and then go back to finding definitions
-If the application would quit when the main window is closed.
