Safari's Debug menu does display the DOM tree. The advantage to Demystifier is that node attributes are also displayed, which is invaluable to web developers.
Demystifier also provides a sophisticated search mechanism which makes it easy to find nodes.
Additionally, a history of viewed nodes is available so you can easily navigate back and forth between nodes.
If you would like to see more of what Demystifier can do I've placed the Demystifier Help files online at:

Besides, if I want to look at DOM trees, I can use Safari's Debug menu. Who cares that it works in IE?
"Internet Explorer (IE) for the Mac OS is no longer being developed, and while support is available now, future security updates are not guaranteed and may not be timely. If IE is operationally required, caution should be used. It is recommended that IE not be used"

Demystifier displays the DOM much like Safari's 'Show DOM tree' option available under the Debug menu. A left hand list displays the parent node and a right hand list displays either the child nodes or the attributes of the selected parent node. (Safari's DOM tree viewer just displays the child's innerHTML)
