dashboard will illiminate these types of applications, statoo and konfabulator included.
the developers of such apps will have to do something amazing to keep up.
but it is, and so are the others nice apps.
- not everybody will upgrade to Mac OS 10.4 Tiger (immediately)
- WuffDesktop's views are always visible and not only, when Dashboard is 'activated'. Some users prefer it that way...

Unfortunately, there are a few problems.
The shareware protection is extremely annoying. The program runs for 1 hour then terminates.
The features are a bit lacking, even for $8. Simply showing a bit more than the time and date is hardly a reason to pay for this. The developer's website promises more features but I'm always hesitant to pay for a product with promised features.
On the other hand, it is extremely well implemented and I am watching this program closely.
