Cover Version is an iTunes visualizer plug-in that displays the album cover artwork of the currently playing audio track with different effects: as flapping flag, rotating cuboid, kaleidoscope, with Vertigo effect, or as a sliding pane.
Lyrics of the track are displayed on top of the album cover artwork.
Artist name and track title are displayed bottom-aligned.
With the options window some settings can be customized.

- Lyrics: The text of the lyrics can be displayed centered or left-aligned.
- Update: With "Check For Update On Start" activated, the visualizer checks whether there is an update available online when it starts to display in iTunes.

The 'Vertigo' effect on a 27" screen is simple but POW!
A big reason I haven't updated to iTunes 10.4x yet.
Wanted to add my appreciation for this basic & clever plugin.
Doesn't work on iTunes 10.4/64-bit nor Lion.
Developer is aware.
I will keep my eyes open for any future update, as I am putting off my Lion install for just a little while longer...

The only major problem that I have is with it is that if the song has alot of lyrics, they are squashed in size in order to fit them all on the screen. Most of the time if the song contains alot of lyrics, you can't read the lyrics because the font becomes so small its unreadable which defeats the purpose.
If the font of the lyrics was standardized (or adjustable) and a scroll bar was added to the side to scroll down if there is alot of lyrics ...then I'd say it's perfect.
I want to be able to show the lyrics though, and friends will all sing. So, if it scrolled manually, or used buttons to see chunks of lyrics. Anything. Then it would be awesome!

The problem of this visualizer is that it only displays lyrics written in roman letters - otherwise, it would have been a five stars!

The slow fade-in is a nice touch.
Simple and sweet!

Also, I would like to be able to change the opacity of the cube.
