New version 5 rocks, I will do a full review when I get used to the new features. This software is great because it has nice features and it stores your photos in regular folders. This is key for backing up to the cloud and easily keeping a couple of computers in sync with the same photos. When I add photos to the imac they are easy to sync via sugarsync to the macbook and visa versa.
I tried it out yesterday using a set of about 2600 photos (around 6.5 GB). Indexing took about 2 hours which isn't exactly fast.
The result was good; a calendar appears in a drawer and shows you when the photos were taken. There is a Flickr upload feature which is very handy.
However, when examining the catalogue, it turned out to be a packaged directory of 6 GB size. The entire load of full-size photos was contained (i.e. duplicated) in the catalog... completely unneccessary.

Wow! Stands out above all of the other gallery style software out there. Many cool, powerful features (like its GPS integration). This is probably the only Mac freeware coming out of China (where very few people use Macs) and it is one of the best pieces of image gallery type software available. Thanks (Xiexie)!

Super photo organizing and web gallery preperation system. One of the best available for free and pleasantly Mac native.

this program genterates photo galleries for the web.
there are only 3 templates.
the whole program is quite easy to use and the results are very good for the price (free!).
however the thumbnails this program generates are huge 128x128 pixel= 48kb?
same for 256 pixel image
the larger previews 400 pixel are over 100kb each this makes the finished galery very slow to load when viewed over dialup or ever 512kb broadband.
what would be nice is a jpg compression slider and sharpening/anti-aliasing feature.
i guess the jpgs could be produced with another app and downloaded into the appropriate folder on the web server.
other than that its very good overall and i shall be following its development with interest.
good luck to the developer
