In addition to MTR/Handbrake there is Fairmount and RipIt .

You can't have too many. Best wishes to the new developers.

I am not sure what this program can do that MacTheRipper and Handbrake cannot do. Your website doesn't even provide this application as a download or even remotely mentions it. I wouldn't recomend this program to anyone.

MacTheRipper is the only freeware deCSS program other than this (Handbrake is great at making avi or mp4's but doesn't extract the whole disk). The MacTheRipper has been on-the-run in the past after persecution, and it felt like we had all our VIDEO_TS extractor eggs in one basket, so I welcome this newcomer and will be trying it out.

Nadeem, this is not a newcomer, it was released more than a year ago and is no longer available.

Shame that MU doesn't flag apps that have gone awol in some way (on the listing view or at least on the main page)

Dear users,

This is out first piece of software that we released, and appologize if it may be slow. The DVD copier that I used in the past, Handbrake, took almost all night to copy 1 DVD. In making this program, we thought that a few hours was quick.
To make our next version better, what would be an ideal speed? Also, what other features should it include, that others do not have?

Thank you for your replies,

An ideal speed for DVD Freedom 1.0 would be the fastest speed possible.

i gave it about 5 hours to do a 6.5GB DVD (on a G4/533) and it only managed to do about 440kb of "work". With no indicator or progress or help or read me files, i didn't know what was going on!! I'll have anoher look at the next version.

Silver:
That is odd, in about 30 minutes it had done about 100 MB. I understand that it may be slow, but this only the first version. The next version will be faster, with more options.

Please note: Speed also depends on your computer speed
