Revolver Mail... The safest 3 in 1 email software.
Revolver Mail includes 3 important basics for personal organization: Email, adresses and organizer. Whether for individuals or for firms, Revolver Mail provides a safe and network compatible alternative to the conventional email programs - for free.
Revolver Mail comprises of following features: Email, professional address administration, calendar, notes, tasks, project list
Further specific features are: high safety due to encrypt database, overview and simple handling due to the one window concept and an easy client server
I installed the application. There is IMAP support now. And there is Sync support for calendar and contacts. I configured all my e-mail accounts (8 of them) as POP or IMAP and assigned the various folders as Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, and Trash. I setup my contacts and calendars to Sync. The results: not all the e-mail is shown in the e-mail area. ALL my contacts synced correctly. But NONE of my calendars synced at all - no matter what I did.
There are still areas of the application itself written in German (entwürfe for Drafts), misspellings (Clind copy instead of Blind copy), among others. And since the WIKI is completely in German (I do like German but I don't understand their instructions), there is little to no help. Which reminds me... the Help doesn't show any help.
This application is the most promising integration of iCal, address book, and other fantastic features that I've been looking for. I'm seriously tempted to spend time trying to unravel the problems. But I just don't have time to spend on this. So I'll wait for the next release and try again.
I was looking for an Entourage-like application and was pleased when I saw Revolver Mail just released. I downloaded and installed it. I could not find a way to get my Mail, iCal, Address Book incorporated. UNFORTUNATELY, the intructions are all in German! Not very much use to me. I tried exporting my iCal, and Address Book then importing into Revolver , but nothing seemed to happen. I've contacted (email) the developer, but he hasn't responded to my email
same here just downloaded it as it had good reviews in MacLife but no IMAP support which for a supposed to be business email client no excusable so in the bin with it.
Pity as functionality looks very good.
Just als bough Postbox which is definitely worth a try and has replaced mail as my main business client it's just still a bit sluggish at times
Only checked this out for about five minutes so far, but it's already got one major drawback, particularly for business users. It only handles POP type mail accounts, which most businesses don't use. It really needs to be able to handle IMAP and/or Exchange protocols to be considered a replacement for Mail, Entourage or even Postbox at this point. It's looks clean and pretty robust, but if you can't get you e-mail, then that's pretty much show stopper.
Software looks great in first view and then if you want support it's useless. No support after 5 Week's in words five WEEKS. Oh I forgot we are using the pro version with 12 license.
Just the Call Center with yes we call back yes somebody will take care and no nobody does take care. Take the money and leave the costumer alone that's what they are doing for living.
What a shame.
Nice try. However, no integration AT ALL with OS X is a killer. No address book access, no iCal, nothing. My advice is to either kill the windows version and develop mac software, or vice versa. Mac users will not adopt softwre that was clearly developed for another platform.
Could have a lot of potential, especially if it worked. The lack of support for IMAP is the biggest thing against this program. The second is the lack of calendar integration with either iCal's calendar database or even more important, with MS Exchange calendar. If this app could integrate with Exchange for IMAP and Calendar it would be a real hit. Unfortunately it still has a way to go. English usage is also poor, and should be updated.

Great - now make it integrate with Exchange and you'll have a winner...
