This is a simple port of Emilia Pinball to Mac. You can find more information about it here.
Very poor. Not worth downloading.
Played for about 10 minutes; looks promising, but not yet ready for prime-time (reflected by the current revision number);
graphics and gameplay do need some work.
I am looking forward to version 1.0 (hopefully with a few extra tables ;-)... ), which could turn out to be really good.
Keep up the good work!
I did notice:
- the ball physics are far from realistic
- the graphics are very low. looks like the 1st computer game ever
- music & sounds are poor
-there is no action. just 2 or 3 bumpers at the top: boring !
-even the nudge/tilt option doesn't look real
I admit it is a freeware .. etc .. but if you are looking for a good pinball game, just continue your way and don't stop here: timeloss.
Monster Fair is a zillion time better (but not freeware)
The mac and Stuffit are perfectly happy with ZIP files whats the problem?
Games quite good fun BTW just dosn't appear to be a lot going on compared to real Pinballs LOL
Why is it that it give Mac requirements, but only downloads a .zip file?
I've been looking for a good pinball game and thought I had found it.
Did you try expanding the zip archive? It works fine on my Mac running 10.3. Zip archives are quite common on the Mac these days....
As for the game... it's not exactly Pinball Dreams (the old Amiga game), but it's pretty good fun. Needs more tables or more features on each table to be really successful, but as it stands it's still a good way to while away a few minutes. I like it.
Search for Jinni Zeala Pinball. It's the best on the Mac right now.
Heh, I was hoping no-one would notice the size difference. It was a stupid mistake. I accidentally included the table data twice over!
Ha! Now I see it; there was both an
Emilia Pinball.app/Contents/Resources/data folder as well as a data folder external to the app.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Yesterday's download was 11.6 MB, while today's is only 6.5 MB. What's the difference?
Pretty nice game, BTW, going by the previous version.
Ok, the download should be fixed soon aswell as a few other bug fixes. Enjoy!
Sorry for the dead link!
Unfortunately, I didn't quite expect to get this many downloads and I've run out of bandwidth on my server! If anyone would like to host a mirror for it then please contact me and I'll email it to you.
A respectable first effort, but the gravity is WAY too strong... like the table was inclined at 10 or more degrees instead of the more customary 5 or so. This makes it very difficult to do shots from a captured or cradled ball, assuming you can capture it in the first place.
It's a pity the original developer has mostly abandoned the project, he's working for a game development studio now... good thing he open sourced this.
