It's good to see developers thinking 'outside the card' so to speak. I think you have an ace here!
It's nice to be appreciated.
I used to kill time with this game of solitaire (with actual cards, mind you) 25 years ago when I'd take the 2 hr ferry ride over to Van. Island. Thanks for making it available for iBooks!
Anyway, match cards by suit or 'number' - but only one or two cards to any card's left.
Using the screenshot as an example - match the 4 with the 6 of Hearts; the two Kings; the 6 of Clubs and Jack of Clubs; 4 and 3 of Diamonds; the 10 of Hearts with the 2 of Hearts; then the 10 of Hearts with the 10 of Diamonds; the Queen of Hearts with Queen of Clubs; then the 10 of Hearts with the Queen of Hearts; and so on...
Tough to beat tho', I'd only win 1 in 5-6 games.
Thanks for your comments.
It is amazing how card games cross borders.
I have been taught solitario by my mum again some 45 years ago in Italy. There it is normally payed with a scopa deck, 40 cards only no 8 9 or 10s.
You do very well to solve it 20% if the time. Even with only 40 cards I only barely solved it 5% of the time.
I don't get it. Completion would be rare unless the second card you click slides over the first card, rather than the right card over the left, which I find too limiting. That would add a bit more control.
Am I missing something?
You win the game if you can get all the cards in 1 pile.
Each card you deal can be put on top of the last or second to last card already on the table. If this creates a situation where any card matches the suit or number of the card next to it, or 1 away from it, you can again put it on top of that card, and so forth.
Normally you deal cards one at a time and complete as many jumps as you can before dealing again. I added the "Deal them all" button to offer a variation, but the rules do not change.
I hope this helpls.
