AFAIK, people have been using Panorama on Intel machines for years.
Regarding a specific version for Intel processors, this is from ProVUE's Website:
"For 2009 we're working on new versions of Panorama for Intel processors (for both Mac OS X and Windows)."
It seems that version 5.5 is from December 2007, and 5.5.1 is from July 2008.
It would be nice to have a more "modern" interface, but given the power and functionality of Panorama it definitely deserves more than 3-stars.
Bento has a prettier interface. FileMaker 10 too. I would rather use Panorama. In my limited experience, Panorama's databases are smaller than FileMaker's, and work is faster and more accurate. For example, when importing records, finding data, etc. And this is just very basic stuff.

panorama seems to have many more features than than even the newest Filemaker 10 even though the last update for panorama looks like several years old.
I tried the desktop/client version and noticed it is PPC only.
I called their sales line on 1/16/2009, and asked if they have plans to release an intel version. they said they have no plans at this time.
i would really consider switching from Filemaker if they had an intel version and updated interface.

I can highly recommend Panorama Enterprise after two years of running it for shared databases and for dynamic web publishing.

The Data Files are diminutive.
Runs at insane speeds.
Sublimely User Friendly.
