I particularly like "Emersion Mode".
Take a look here: http://akvis.com/en/chameleon-tutorial/emersion/cage-bird.php

If literally true, this program would outdo Photoshop. I spend a lot of time carefully in PS carefully selecting objects. I'm skeptical that Chameleon does it well and effortlessly. Seems more likely that it's pretty quick at roughly selecting the object. One can always lower standards and get faster results.
For a different type of collage (fitting multiple images together in various grid patterns) I like Posterino. Especially like the ease of applying a group of photos to a template. And the ease of deleting and resizing the individual photo frames.

(p.s. I do own the full commercial CS suite as that is what feels fine to me, whilst my wife has an edu version as she is a student)
(p.p.s I do agree however this software is generally too expensive for what it does, I just don't think you can say the full version of photoshop is that cheap for EVERYONE.)
