PPC? Come on man, that's outdated architecture. Code it UB or Intel so everyone can use it. It was updated in 2010 and it's still not Universal Binary? That's sad.
The Debug build seems to work just fine in Snow Leopard 10.6.2 now.
I've dropped FrostWire and have been using Acqlite instead. Cabos, however, is still preferred for sentimental reasons. :p I hope you continue to support it to run in SL.
Cabos is great - smooth as.
Thanks for MacUpdate for keeping legacy versions for Panther!
(I got the 'cant find java' msg for the new one and had to reinstall...)
There's simply no excuse for this still being PPC-only. The core of the app is Java, so how hard is it to re-do the interface parts in a Universal Binary?
There may be no noticeable speed advantage to having a UB of Cabos running, but not having to invoke Rosetta has other advantages on a system, especially one running many tasks at once.

For technical resons, Cabos will not be Universal Binary.
If you want use in Intel Mac, please use Acqlite instead.

Seriously, though. Both apps this is based on have been UB for quite some time. I'm guessing "for technical reasons" means you're not using XCode. Am I right?
Intel version pretty PLEASE with a cherry on top !!!!

Long time user, first time complainer. Will someone tell the developers (they offer no contact link on their site) that now when downloading a large file, that it will actually unravel - the progress number will go backwards, and substantially, I've watched it happen, like a sweater being unraveled. Makes it very difficult to complete a large download.
Version 0.8 didn't work properly when I ran it, so I was forced to go back to 0.79! if you can't find files, then stick to 0.79 as this is a bug that was never fixed. also, version 0.8 was not released for OS 9, so that must have been due to the bug in this version!

Cabos 0.8 does not suppoprt Java 1.4.x.
Please upgrade your system software.
i cant get this app to run...? this and acqlite just acts like its gonna start up(animation effect+the dock moves for a milli second) but then there is nothing?
anyone know what might be the problem? my java is 1.4.2
For the last comment, Java is probably broken. There have been problems with the last couple of Apple updates and Java. You should reinstall Java, I had the same problems until I reinstalled it. Give it a try. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/j2se50release4intel.html
Me too, I cannot connect to ANY networks with this, whereas I can and do with Limewire and Poisoned. I am guessing that this is NOT a port issue with my router, because I told it to connect on the same port as Limewire, which works. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd love to use this program, because Limewire is way too big, bloated, and slow, and Poisoned is a joke in terms of results and download speed.
I'm having problems using a wireless connection. The app opens, but nothing shows up next to networks, and nothing appears after entering a search.
Any help?
