I downloaded the Picturesync 1.8r18 install package and attempted to install it on my MacBook Pro (2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo with OS X version 10.5.8). I received this message:

"You canot use this version of the application PictureSync with this version of Mac OS X."

I tried it 4 times with the same result each time.

Oh, I'm sure this is just a new feature, like when they added the new feature of "we don't work with Aperture anymore."

"Tweak: support for Aperture removed"

Since when is removing a major feature a "tweak." The reason I purchased this product was specifically for its Aperture support.

This would be like McDonalds saying Big Mac, tweek, beef removed.

Dev: please don't make a cut and imply your product is now better.

seems to have stopped replying to emails for support, and by god you'll need support pretty regularly if your experience is anything like mine. maybe he's hibernating. He'll be up soon. T'ill then maybe hold off on chucking your money at this one.

Got this from a bundle recently (can't remember if it was here or at MacZot) and since then I was not able to activate it...

Have send email to developer but no answer yet...
Oh, it's been "just" a week or so... I guess I'll just wait... Talk about money well spent!!!

Also, I bought this EXCLUSIVELY for using with Aperture and now it seems that I need to purchase the Pro version for such functionality... Clearly that was not explicit in the promo...

Buyers beware...

PictureSync *is* uploading sucessfully, however it is currently reporting the upload as failed. I'll release an updated plug-in that fixes this shortly.

Please report errors such as these using feedback in PictureSync as otherwise they may not be fixed promptly.

Webshots is recommened using this software.

I've downloaded this program from Webshots, however it lacks any documention of how to use.

Why do they assume that everyone knows how to use it? You do know what "assume" does.
It makes an ass of u and me.

You review is completely unfair, you did not even bother to check the developer's website. Furthermore, there is a Help menu built-in to the application.

Have a look here.

So, what's your excuse? Lazy? Or just a bit slow?

Nontheless I have made the help window visible at first launch henceforth (it used to do this actually-until I decided it was unnecessary).

Boo! It auto watermarks 'PictureSync' in demo mode. That wouldn't be bad but it doesn't tell you that until AFTER you have uploaded your pictures. There is also no easy way to cancel an upload once it begins.

Thanks for the feedback - the licence dialog now appears before upload. Images are however NOT watermarked when unlicencsed. When uploading over 10 images, occasionally (about 1:20) the caption text has 'Upload by PictureSync' appended. This can easily be removed online if you prefer not to licence the software…
