Visit the developer's site link above to see that Adobe DOES NOT change. This is yet another product in which the Mac version does not have (significant) features provided the Windows version, and yet gets charged the same price. Pathetic!

Adobe simply is the worst developer of Mac software out there now!

I have Contribute 3 and have not used it for ages since iWeb and Rapid Weaver. I am not too bothered about chest beating 'not proper web editor' comments, i want fast 'n' easy. But these two seem to run rings round Contribute, specially if you don't use MS apps (on C3 the MS component won't work on Mac).
40 quid for an upgrade which, even by the blurb on the Adobe website, seems not a lot different to C3.
An upgrade to C4 would seem to be a means to fleece the suits. Why does the Adobe website not say what extra I get for my dollars? All very strange.

Comparing Contribute to iWeb and RapidWeaver doesn't make any sense as they serve different purposes.

Contribute is designed to allow novice users to make routine changes and updates to websites (including existing ones). It's esssentially a scaled-down version of Dreamweaver that isolates less technical users from the complexities of HTML source, CSS, etc...

iWeb and RapidWeaver, however, are tools which allow websies to created from the ground up using supplied templates. Contribute does include some basic templates which can be used to create a website from scratch, but this is not the main selling feature of the application.

I hope this helps to clarify any confusion.

Not really threatening iWeb since Contribute has been around for a while. Contribute and iWeb fill two different niches.

Why would even bother updating this application if it isn't universal yet? We want UNIVERSAL applications. Adobe should know better.

Adobe money grab!

I see absolutely nothing here to justify paying for an upgrade. I'll wait for the Creative Suite 3 w/ Univ Binary versions on these apps.

Adobe has become such a pathetic Mac developer. Everyone keeps thinking Adobe is dragging their feet in switching to the Univ Bin software when, folks, it's really all about waiting on Vista to ship. Creative Suite 3 is geared towards Vista users, not Leopard/Mactels!

Repeat... ADOBE MONEY GRAB!!
