CardBus is a high-performance 32-bit version of the PC Card standard. CardBus cards are able to take advantage of internal bus speeds that can be as much as four-to-six times faster than 16-bit PC Cards. The CardBus CompactFlash Adapter will allow consumers to get the maximum capability out of their high speed CompactFlash cards without the bottleneck of the older 16-bit standard.
Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later, Delkin 32 CF Cardbus.

I don't know about its functionality with the Delkin-branded CF Cardbus adapter, but it works fine with the Lexar CF Cardbus adapter, which is the same device. Reads CF cards on my 15" PowerBook faster than a Lexar Firewire reader or a USB2 reader. Very convenient for downloading files from CF cards while travelling, the CF Cardbus adapter is tiny and fits in many CF Card wallets.
It's about time!! I bought the Lexar device months ago because the Lexar website said it was compatible with Mac OS X, but the driver it shipped with caused crashes - a search of their website revealed that their driver wasn't compatible with Tiger and a call to their helpline revealed they had no plans to support Tiger.
Thanks, Delkin!
