OurTunes is a Java solution for browsing all of the available iTunes shared music on your network in a single location. A user can then play and download MP3s and AACs music files.

There is no solution out there like OurTunes. It simply works. Down with DRM!

I have started a project to revive OurTunes. In fact David Hammerton (one of the original people to crack the iTunes share authentication) is working to help the next generation of OurTunes be reborn

For some reason OurTunes doesn't like my server. I can't connect to anyone else's iTunes with it. I had read something about the fact that a wireless network creates problems. Any clue how to fix this?

Brilliant!, it would be amazing if it could get around the "5 users per day" , ourtunes fails connecting to servers that have reached their 5 a day limit.

I can download one or two songs and then the songs will get stuck partway through.

I just emailed the developer and got a response from Yahoo saying the account has been disabled or closed.

I guess this project is dead unless the developer responds or updates it.

The app has not been updated in almost 2 years, that indicates to me that it is all but dead, possibly abandoned.

As ever, questions of this sort should be directed to the developer via email. That's the most likely way to get an answer.

Hey Everyone,

Version 1.3.3 does not seem to work with the new iTunes 7. Hopefully there will be an update soon. If anyone has been able to use 1.3.3 successfully with iTunes 7, please post here. Thanks!
