works only with Powerlogix G3-750FX/GX, not with other CPU
shows temp and MHZ value
warns if temp is too high
can stay in an animated (temp/mhz/warning colour) dock
The tool show the temperatue of the 750FX/GX G3 CPU and needs Powerlogix CPU director installed.
It should work with all MAC which have an Powerlogix 750FX/GX CPU and CPU director installed.
You can let the tool running in background by pushing the dock button.

What's New

C/F calculation / warntemp C/F fixed
Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.2 or later, Powerlogix G3 750FX/GX CPU, Powerlogix CPU director installed.
Maybe you started download at same time i updated the file on the ftp server. So the link can,t work until i uploaded the file.
The link works.
If someone get this error message , try downloading a bit later (10 minutes).

Um.
that wasn't the problem.
The download didn't fail.
The software popped up a dialog box saying I had the wrong processor.
I couldn't exit the software cleanly because every time I closed the dialog box so I could quit the program, it popped it up again.

Should now fixed.
App will quit after OK in Messagebox.
Added an Version which only shows the temp, not the MHZ.
Usefull for people getting the MHZ error, but temp works. Working on MHZ value.
Added / updated readme.
Same downloadlink, second tool is within the .sitx.
Sorry to post this here. Any idea how I can identify the type of card I have? Its a pull from other system and I can find no identifying labels. Any help appreciated.
It does display the temperature in the window and Dock properly, however a looping MHz error saying it's missing CPU Director continually pops up until I manually click on and quickly quit the program.
I have a 900MHz, 750 powerlogix card in my Pimso, and CPU Director is installed.
HI, iam back.
Try to start terminal.
In terminal type:
sysctl hw.busfrequency
Whats the result ?
My G3 beige show this:
Andreas:~ ami$ sysctl hw.busfrequency
hw.busfrequency: 66820000 (meens 66,66 MHZ Bus)
Andreas:~ ami$
The programm needs busfrequenzy because some PL MACS have 66 some 100 (g3 b/w).

if the sysctl busfreq shows : 1000000 , which is OK, try to do this in terminal:
sysctl hw.PowerLogixHID1
an reply output be mail or here.
The result is an large, negative number.

I use an older 50 mhz PCI Mac and have the same problem. My results from terminal are:
The second value means (there are some bits to test) Software PLL : disabled. My Tool cant get the PLL Bits of the 750FX if there is no 750FX CPU.
MHZ will only work, if you also can switch MHZ (PLL) by the CPU Director.
MHZ fixed systems (non G3 750FX/GX) should use my second tool, see readme in downloadfile.

I had to force-quit it because it kept bringing up the dialog box as soon as I closed it, and I couldn't close the main window with the dialog box up.
