GanttPV is project scheduling software. You can use it to define tasks, assign resources, calculate dates, and create gantt charts. GanttPV is a scriptable, cross platform (Mac OS X and Windows), open source, easy-to-install, desktop software package for project management.

New relational table diagrams.
"Edit Record" script displays the currently selected row as a form.
"Rmap" script uses your ORM data to generate a relational table diagram.
"Generate SQL" script generates the SQL commands to build a database.
"Open Python Editor" script is designed to edit GanttPV scripts.
"Open Python Shell" script allows you to interactively run Python commands inside of GanttPV. Great for working through the scripting tutorial.

Clunky compared to OpenProj - but good to see free apps under development.

Very nifty little app, developer is VERY responsive to feature requests.

My review is based on basic test usage and my interactions with the developer; I have not done a thorough shake-down to test all features.

Try Fasttrack Schedule 8.0. It's also cross platform. Has been for years. Easy to use. More so than MS Project (which is Windoz only). You do have to pay for this one though.

Works well, stable enough for small project work, but haven't used it long enough for a better reliability review.

The toolbar icons take a bit of time to get used to, or to realize what they do, because they are only images and have no text description below them.

Simplistic interface, and simple functionality, but this application files a big hole in the Mac OS X world, and it's free.
