Great to see it alive in Lion.
MacUpdate should update it and put the real Icon back, not the generic one - which gives the impression that it's dead.

It's my favorite player. Has everything you need.

I've made NicePlayer my default. More flexible and better keyboard controls than QuickTime. Easier to use (and 10 times smaller) than VLC. It doesn't have bells and whistles, but it does everything I need, and does it as well or better than anything else I've tried. I hope the developers keep it up to date, although that's looking less and less likely. :(

With virtually no development for 4 years, Niceplayer is still the best video player for Mac OS X.
- Multiple windows
- all codecs supported by Perian
- frameless (at least QTX stole that)
- PLAYLISTS

Worst piece of sh*t ever. Couldn't handle avi, mkv or mpg. No support for subtitles and changing audio source etc. Why chose this sh*t program when VLC is lightyears ahead.

This is the worst Video Player I have ever used in my entire life.

Can't imagine why you were having such trouble, but it's pretty obvious by the other reviews here that the problem was unique to you. I've made NicePlayer my default. Better interface and keyboard controls than QT, less bloaty and complicated than VLC. Plays EVERY format I throw at it.

Great player. Specially the zoomable view ist great. Only the audio-track should switch not overlay when changing. Anyway great work, thanks.

The beta version has the audio switch (instead of overlay). Unfortunately the movie-files are occupied by the app, so you can't delete them without quitting the app after watching. Also the "Remembers last window position" feature seem not to work that well (I can easily live without). Hope the occupy-bug will be gone in the next beta.

This is still a better player than QuickTime. Can resize far smaller than quicktime is capable of, control layout is better, and the square edges feel more complete. I use QuickTime to convert things, course, but ALL video types get changed to open with NicePlayer for me.

Great Player, been using it for a while now.

But, when I have Niceplayer in full screen on my native monitor, while using another display for other endeavors, the controls do not pop up on the bottom on the screen. If I go to half screen on the native display, or even full on the secondary display, all is well.

The last version did not have this problem.

you should check and see if you are still having these problems with version 0.96.2, if you are please post this problem to the issue tracker (http://code.google.com/p/niceplayer/issues/list) where it can be track and I correspond with you with possible fixes in the preview builds we are now doing between general releases.

It's great to see an update to NicePlayer. I love this app. Unfortunately, it still can't play second audio on DivX files (via CoreVideo) even though that feature was supposed added to version 0.95.

We'll need more information to fix this, as far as the media i have multiple audio tracks show up in the movie menu and are able to be disabled or enabled individually.
