What's New

Version 1.9.1:

Since Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) finally integrates birthdays in iCal, I recommend using that feature instead of ABtoiCal. However, some people like to have more control, so I fixed a bug and updated the script to version 1.9.1.

Great script! Simple and useful.

Thank you for not crypting it. I made some changes to get regular notices rather than email notices and now it's exactly what I want.

no need to use this
just go to iCal preferences - in first tab you will see option to show all birthdays. check the box and you will get new calendar with birthdays from your AB

I like this scripts. Fast, straightforward and to the point. I do have an issue with it where I've noticed I can't select my email address for the notification, nor can I select a different notification. This causes some problems with syncing. Other than that it works beautifully. It'd be nice if it was able to:
1.-Be able to properly choose the email address to use (home, work)
2.-Be able to setup a different kind of alert.
3.-Not create events from the person's birth date but from today onwards (this may just be how iCal shows it)
4.-Be able to represent ANY date
